Department Enrichment Meetings

These meetings are IN ADDITION to the monthly departmental meeting and are designed to share information, address specific departmental issues or concerns OR to facilitate cooperation and build relationships between departments, for the purpose of planning, reviewing, prioritizing, and improving patient care and the physician work environment. As per the memorandum of understanding (MOU), the MSA cannot fund sessional hours for meetings that are required for hospital privileges. 

  • Claims must not exceed TWO HOURS of sessional time. *The Society will fund room rental charges, Audio Visual (AV) support costs, meal expenses (UP TO $35/PERSON plus GST and 18% gratuity). Detailed receipts are required or the FEMS system will reject the clam. 
  • A maximum of $500 honorarium will be paid for a speaker, including expenses. 
  • The society WILL NOT fund alcoholic beverages or social events as per FEMS guidelines. 
  • The meeting organizer must submit a list of attendees in their claim plus a summary of the purpose and outcomes of the meeting.
