ECHO Hub Diabetes

Dr. MacKInlay will join the BC ECHO Pediatric Diabetes team as a representative of VJH and the more rural and remote communities VJH serves. This scientific committee or “hub team” of diabetes providers from around the province work together to create and co-facilitate provincial sessions. Dr. MacKinlay will be developing specific curriculum around challenges in the North Okanagan as well as showcasing some of the innovative projects developed at VJH to address challenges. It will also provide Dr. MacKinlay with access to the ideas, insights and best practices of other sites with regards to delivering care to pediatric patients, specifically around the mental health and family coping/burden that comes with chronic disease.
