Physician Waffle House

This project began in 2023/24 with a budget of $20,664. Dr. Kira McClellan developed the idea for Physician Waffle House as part of her NAVIG8 leadership project. Physician Waffle House is an independent online community by physicians for physicians.  It is designed to promote professional and social engagement as well as collaboration, leadership development and physician recruitment with the goal of improving peer-to-peer support, joy, satisfaction, and pride in work. Further, this site negates the need for smaller Physician Societies and MSAs to have their own websites. Work on this project in 2024/25 included beta testing the site, app development, an official launch, funding applications to pay for a site monitor for the first year and gathering of metrics to assess the value and efficacy of the site. 2025/26 funding will be used to spread this project to other sites and increase registration and use of the site.
