It is with deep gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility that I am embarking on the role serving the Medical Staff Association at Vernon Jubilee Hospital as MSA President. To be entrusted with this position by such a dedicated, skilled, and resilient group of colleagues is truly an honour. Our medical staff represent the backbone of care at Vernon Jubilee Hospital and the work of the MSA exists to support you in that mission. Read more here

Two fully funded palliative care training opportunities from Pallium Canada will be available to health care providers in the North and Central Okanagan area in early 2026. This is a limited time offer, so register now to secure your seat!

Sustainability Update…

Dionne Martyn, Pharmacist

Food Services has aimed to replace disposable paper plates with quality tableware in our Mental Health units for some time and is pleased to have launched this initiative at the start of the new year. These new plates are compatible with current covers, offer durability, retain heat more effectively, and prove to be more economical over time than single-use items. They also enhance the dining experience for patients and support our commitment to the Ministry of Health’s Acute Care Nutrition Standards by reducing disposable use on trays.le

February 12, 2026 8:00am-9:00am “Advancing Stroke Recovery through Innovative Clinical Research at UBC


Presented by, Dr. Brodie Sakakibara, PhD

Okanagan Stroke Research Lab, UBC Okanagan


Learn about the ongoing research initiatives and explore opportunities for patient referral and collaboration. The team led by Dr. Sakakibara, Principal Researcher, is running patient-focused clinical trials that use virtual platforms to provide evidence-based rehabilitation and stroke prevention. These studies seek to improve access and continuity of care for stroke survivors in British Columbia.
